The American tenor, James Berkeley Wilson, grew up in Cary, North Carolina, and annoyed his five older brothers with how much he sang until he went to college to study music. He made his American professional opera debut singing with Knoxville Opera under the direction of Maestro Brian Salesky.

Mr. Wilson is a former member of the Knoxville Opera Studio and Berlin Opera Academy. He received a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee and has worked under the direction of Jasmin Solfaghari, Peter Leonard, Andrew Wentzel, Jeffrey Jones, Don Campbell, and Fred Carama.

In 2019, he made his German debut singing Eisenstein in Neue Operette Düsseldorf's production of Die Fledermaus.
Later this year, Mr. Wilson will sing the leading male roles in two Offenbach operettas.

His most important roles are husband and father to his beautiful wife and daughters.
